A little nervous about the blog I have to make for my partner. I know that has nothing to do with the website.

How is everyone else doing, are you guys glad our break is finally here?

Website almost done. Everyone thinks that our site runs flash, but it dosent.

Really glad matt was proud of us. AHHHHH

Can't believe we graduate in 4 months. I'm not ready to grow up!

Now we're trying to destroy our website via PC world. That way we get all the kinks out and it passes for the final! Any one having any problems passing other web browsers?

So we decided to re-do the menu page. That way we dont try to put everything jumbled on one page. The top shows the different categories. And when you click on what your intrested in, it will direct you to that specific page. From there we're going to add text (not picture text) since I relearned having text as image is MUY MAL!

So we will add all that info. What do you guys think? More little sketches? Too much? Lame? Cool?

So, we're coming along on this whole process. Just need one more page the info and than we begin coding! What do you guys think about the layouts so far?

I think that they're pretty fun/ they're a bit retro-ish to me. Kinda messy/crazy but at the same time uniformity and consistency with the navigation at the top being constant in all the pages.

I'm such a slacker when it comes to updating this blog.

I know its only one sentence that I really need to add but I hate doing those one liners. I figure if I post something its because its WORTH posting.

My group is consisted of sketch master Emilio and clean structured Phong. We've decided that Emilio is going to be the main manager, Phong the coder and myself as everything else.

We're going to do a coffee shop. Its a momma and pops coffee place pictures shown below

Ooo yes. Bland colors meeting useless swirls.

The website is pretty much a blogging site. So hopefully with Phil's nifty skills we'll get to spice it up a bit. 

What do YOU think about when you go to coffee shop websites?

Do you even go to their websites? Or is there usually an incentive if you go to one?

Design + Hygiene

I included the above image because I thought it was nice to see that Matt was concerned. Or at least cared enough to let us know to lay off the carbs and  make it a point to bathe!

To Mars or Bust

Here's a re-cap on the site. After a week and a half Phil helped me put this dumb slide show in. Well its not dumb, I'm the pea brainer who couldnt do what a 3rd grader could do, copy paste. Duh!

I have two CSS files currently so Im merging both into one.

Deveoloping

Alright, so here is the re-design of the site. No more lame no meaning shapes!

I spent a day and a half attempting to do a jquery element that began to work but the buttons lamely were on the wrong side. Phil and Mike tried taking a look at it to help me out, but had to dump the plug-in since who ever designed it did a pretty crappy job. I guess it dosent help that Im a crappy web designer at the moment, so crap + crap = MORE CRAP!

I'm just trying to get funtctionality items working right now. Thats my goal for the next 2/3 days. Than I can get going again on trying to make my site look dashing and fun.

The begining of the page WILL have some form of element where some of Christie's images can show as a form of a 'sneak peak,' like the above image shows. Do you guys like this? Or should this be kept as an element of suprise untill one clicks on portfolio?

Let me know your thoughts, Ive got a lot of work left to go!

02 BLOG

So I've been trying to understand how exactly to put up Christie's blog.

I started everything in illustrator. Made all the box sizes (black) and am now putting them into the CSS file.

unfortantely this is what I have so far as it shows on the browser. I was trying to have the navigation bar overlap the header, but I guess I have to break apart both of them instead of having them overlap.

I went ahead and changed the color palate as well. How is the pink working out?

Entry 01

So I'm designing a site for Christie.

The look that she wants for her portfolio page is something really clean.  A lot of the sites that she showed me had what it seemed like some form of animation on the page. So that would be something I'd have to ask Phil about.

What we decided to do was to make illustrations/images/ideas on what we wanted on eachothers pages. These are some of the illustrator images that she created based on something she liked.

I'm not sure if the color scheme is going to remain the same. It just seems too plain jane, or the orange throws me off, I think something bright like magenta or something would be a little more fun. Perhaps adding some opacity to it so that its not too loud.
